Recreations and Props
Museums and venues regularly need items to be recreated to help provide the most authentic environment achievable. This specialised requirement demands the development of historically accurate products in short batches which not only look right but are practical to manufacture and suitable to display in an exhibition space. Often this means working from photographs and, sometimes, with references that are incomplete or suffering from wear and tear. Previous projects have included items as diverse and challenging as sweet wrappers, cigarette packets, chocolate boxes, point of sale displays, electrical component packaging, bottle labels, retail posters, tickets, and paper bags, to name just a few. Our work has also encompassed the development of artwork for the production of historically accurate shopfront signs. Working with photographs or drawings, we have been required to match the styles of the past, sometimes recreating text where typefaces are bespoke or no longer in existence. We are also able to design, manufacture (and install if required) window vinyls to your individual specifications.
