AEOM

We were pleased to work on the design of a range of event materials for the 28th AEOM conference.

Overview

For their 2017 conference, AEOM (Association of European Open Air Museums) held a week long series of events hosted between the Black Country Living Museum and Ironbridge Gorge Museum. It’s purpose was to bring together Museums from across Europe in the exchange of scientific, technical, practical, and organizational experience relative to open-air museums, and the promotion of the association's activities in general.

Charles Design were tasked with the creation of an event-specific brand theme and its application to a variety of items including the conference guide, site signage, large scale graphics and digital media.

Based on the core idea of an 'exchange of knowledge for the common good', a triangular pattern was created to echo this notion, representing the forward-thinking nature of the organization, the exchange of ideas and the coming together of attendees. This pattern was used in conjunction with the brand blue of AEOM, alongside a montage of key imagery from both host museums to create a distinguished and coherent brand palette.
